What’s the story of One Piece live action season 2?

The second season of the famous Netflix adaptation of the manga and anime series One Piece by Eiichiro Oda is called One Piece Live Action. It is expected to narrate the story of the Arabasta Saga, which introduces new characters and enemies while sending the Straw Hat Pirates on their first Grand Line mission.

On August 31, 2023, the live-action adaptation’s first season made its Netflix premiere. The eight episodes that made up this first chapter presented the main characters and set the foundation for the series’ story.

The first story arc of the Sea of Survival: Super Rookies Saga, the East Blue Saga, is followed in Season 1.

One Piece’s first season blew us away with its amazing adaptation of the long-running manga, which is why it entered our list of the top TV programs of 2023. And it was a relief when One Piece author Eiichiro Oda announced last year that a second season had been approved, as the conclusion of the first season promised the crew of the Going Merry larger and better experiences.

Watch as Iñaki Godoy (Monkey D. Luffy), Taz Skylar (Sanji), Emily Rudd (Nami), Jacob Romero (Usopp), and Mackenyu (Zoro) reconnect on the pirate ship Going Merry as they fly in from all over the world in the film. Before Netflix releases an official teaser, Mackenyu gave us another peek behind the scenes with a secret Instagram photo of the cast reuniting on set. We are grateful for it.

Complete cast list for One Piece live action season 2: Every actor and actress featured in the Netflix series

For season two, the main cast of the live-action version of One Piece is back. Inaki Godoy as Monkey D. Luffy, Emily Rudd as Nami, Taz Skylar as Sanji, Mackenyu Arata as Zoro, and Jacob Romero Gibson as Usopp are among those featured.

The One Piece live action season 2 cast will grow in the sequel to include many new performers in addition to the returning cast. These performers, who were not in the first season, are playing roles that are new to the live-action version.

However, Netflix has been slowly showing the actors playing the new individuals that will either be joining Luffy and his rebellious crew in season two, or standing in their way, over the past several days. The following cast members have all been confirmed as of yet:

  • David Dastmalchian as Mr. 3
  • Camrus Johnson as Mr. 5
  • Daniel Lasker as Mr. 9
  • Jazzara Jaslyn as Miss Valentine
  • Clive Russell as Crocus
  • Brendan Murray as Brogy
  • Werner Coetser as Dorry
  • Callum Kerr as Smoker
  • Julia Rehwald as Tashigi
  • Rob Colletti as Wapol
  • Ty Keogh as Dalton

Lasker, who is most known for his role in Raised by Wolves on HBO Max, expressed his excitement at joining the cast and his love of the One Piece universe. In the same way, Kerr stated that he had been holding back on revealing his casting as Smoker, the character that debuted in the latter minutes of season one.

He responded, “All that cigar smoking is going to come in handy.”

It has been confirmed by Netflix that more cast members will be revealed at a later time, so stay tuned. However, we do know that Chopper and Dr. Kureha will play significant roles in season two. We can only hope. Jamie Lee Curtis may be stepping into the position of Dr. Kureha, specifically, after declaring on the Oscars red carpet that she wants the job.
